Business Systems Analyst

Reporting to: Business Integration Director

Main Purpose of Role

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will play a key role in supporting strategic transformation across the organisation by acting as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery. Initially focused on integrating billing platforms between Mail Metrics and Adare SEC, and scoping a future enterprise-wide ERP solution, the role will drive the capture and translation of complex requirements into clear, actionable outputs. Through cross-functional collaboration, the analyst will enable informed decision-making, ensure alignment across teams, and support scalable, long-term system improvements as part of a broader digital transformation roadmap.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly capable and proactive BSA to support the delivery of key strategic programmes across our organisation. Initially, this role will focus on two critical workstreams:

  • The integration of billing and invoicing platforms between Mail Metrics and Adare SEC
  • The early scoping and planning of a future enterprise-wide ERP solution 

In addition, the BSA will provide ongoing analysis and requirements elicitation for future integration and optimisation projects as part of a broader digital transformation roadmap. 

The successful candidate will act as a vital link between business functions and technical delivery, translating complex requirements into clear, actionable outputs that ensure alignment across Finance, IT, Product, Business, and Operations. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation for the Mail Metrics billing platform integration project.
  • Facilitate early-phase scoping and requirements analysis for enterprise-level ERP and business system implementations.
  • Capture business and technical needs across functions and sites, mapping localised variations and stakeholder priorities.

Produce high-quality artefacts including:

  • Traceability Matrices (RTMs)
  • MoSCoW Prioritisation Models
  • MVP Definitions and Roadmaps
  • Business Process Maps (BPMN)

Detailed User Stories 

  • Translate stakeholder needs into structured, delivery-ready documentation for internal and external teams.
  • Support vendor engagement and software evaluation processes with traceability and structured analysis.
  • Ensure documentation and requirements are audit-ready and designed to support scalable, long-term system architecture.
  • Work cross-functionally with geographically dispersed teams and support governance and delivery tracking.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst working on billing platforms, business systems, or ERP solutions.
  • Experience working on systems integration, transformation, or digital enablement programmes.
  • Strong understanding of commercial, finance, IT, and transformation environments.
  • Expertise in producing BA deliverables such as RTMs, BPMN diagrams, and user stories.
  • Experience with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar process modelling/documentation software.
  • An independent and self-directed individual that prioritise business success first.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in various business analysis techniques including requirements gathering, process modelling and data analysis.
  • Creating detailed functional and technical documentation, including business requirements, use cases and system specification.
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation, including using data to inform business decisions and strategies.
  • A creative thinker with a desire to learn.
  • Calmness under pressure and the ability to adapt to change.
  • Experience of presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
  • Understand the interdependence between technology, operations, and business needs.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with diverse stakeholder groups, including business areas, IT teams and end users.

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to enterprise-level software procurement and vendor selection processes.

  • Background in managed services, communications, or technology industries.
