Fast-expanding Adare SEC has delivered on its promise to invest in its newly-acquired Nottingham site in a near £3 million deal involving Canon technology.
The investment in Adare SEC (Nottingham) includes a Canon Océ ColorStream 3900Z, which replaces an Océ JetStream, a speed upgrade to its existing ColorStream from 3700 to 3900, a Tecnau Dynamic Perforator on the new system and software enhancements.
Adare SEC is a leading provider of secure and essential communication solutions with a £90 million turnover across four sites – Huddersfield, Redditch, Guildford and Nottingham. The latest investment will be utilised to produce personalised transactional mail, regulatory mailings and direct mail for a blue-chip customer base.
When Adare SEC acquired the former Polestar Applied Solutions business in the summer, the management team pledged to invest in technology, infrastructure and people at the site as part of plans to win more essential communications contracts and achieve organic growth.
Barry Crich, Managing Director of Adare SEC, said: “We completed a comprehensive review of the available technologies, and felt that Canon’s continuous feed systems are amongst some of the best in the market. The print quality, reliability and seamless workflow are integral ingredients to create accurate, impactful and secure applications in the business critical and transactional mail markets and will help drive business growth across the board.”
Crich added: “As a result of a number of major investments in 2016 with leading market players Ricoh and Canon, Adare SEC now has significant dual site capability with 5 high speed colour duplex production lines including; 2 x Ricoh VC60000 plus an IP5000 at the Huddersfield site and 2 x Canon ColourStreams at the Nottingham site. This investment will offer our customers increased colour capacity for our end-to-end white paper solutions, allowing for higher volumes of targeted essential communications that can be tailored to each individual recipient.”
Craig Nethercott, Director, Commercial Printing, Canon UK, said: “Canon will always strive to be the very best business partner for professional printing companies offering end-to-end solutions from image capture to output. We’re delighted that our best-in-class technology – known for its reliability, workflows, robustness and highest quality – is being used to develop important new business opportunities for Adare SEC (Nottingham).
“This is another important contract win and further cements our market-leading position in continuous feed systems in the UK and across the world.”
